Registered Nurse – Per Diem – Cardiac Care

Role: Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a high-acuity cardiac step-down unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, following established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout hospitalization.
  • Coordinate patient education, discharge planning, and family needs management.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff, delegate tasks appropriately, and adjust assignments based on patient acuity.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety programs, and evidence-based practice decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, promote teamwork, and support organizational safety and safety initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
  • Experience in Cardiac Special Care, including titrating medication IVs, BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen.
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity environment with critical care skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and clinical assessment skills.
