Role: Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a high-acuity cardiac step-down unit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, following established policies and procedures.
- Conduct assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout hospitalization.
- Coordinate patient education, discharge planning, and family needs management.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff, delegate tasks appropriately, and adjust assignments based on patient acuity.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety programs, and evidence-based practice decision-making.
- Troubleshoot equipment, promote teamwork, and support organizational safety and safety initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
- Experience in Cardiac Special Care, including titrating medication IVs, BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen.
- Ability to work in a high-acuity environment with critical care skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and clinical assessment skills.
