Role Overview: The Inpatient RN provides comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced, 24-bed advanced acute care unit, managing diverse medical conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, cardiac, renal, GI disorders, and postoperative cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care, including patient education, discharge planning, and family support.
- Deliver direct care through treatments, medications, and diagnostics, evaluating intervention effectiveness.
- Collaborate with physicians and team members to resolve patient needs proactively.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in evidence-based practice decisions.
- Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and unit goals, actively engaging in safety programs and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a nursing specialty training program, with strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Flexibility to work a minimum of 8 hours on weekends or holidays is required.
