Role Overview: Provides comprehensive inpatient nursing care in a 19-bed unit for medical patients, including those with surgical procedures, drains, tubes, trachs, and respiratory devices. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts assessments and addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Develops and coordinates care plans, including patient education and discharge planning, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Delivers direct care such as treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures in accordance with policies.
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of nursing interventions, adjusting plans as needed.
- Collaborates proactively with physicians and staff to resolve patient needs and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Participates in evidence-based practice decision-making and unit safety initiatives.
- Engages actively in team efforts to achieve unit and organizational goals, contributing to quality and safety programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
- Ability to perform assessments, coordinate care, and provide compassionate patient interactions.
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work a minimum of 24 hours per schedule, including weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts.
