Position: RN SANE Program, providing specialized care for sexual assault adult and adolescent survivors.
Responsibilities: Conduct medical forensic exams, assessments, specimen collection, and documentation; collaborate with emergency staff, law enforcement, and legal entities; attend meetings, court proceedings, and ensure compliance with standards.
Qualifications: Nursing degree (BSN preferred), current Illinois RN license, certified as a SANE through the Illinois Attorney General, with forensic nursing experience preferred. Must demonstrate computer literacy, especially with Epic.
Skills: Compassionate, non-judgmental communication, proficiency in forensic procedures, collaboration, and attention to detail.
Key Duties: Perform forensic exams, documentation, participate in peer reviews, and support survivors through care and legal processes.
