Role Overview:
Responsible for providing independent and comprehensive nursing care in a clinical setting, demonstrating clinical competence and awareness of patient needs. The nurse manages routine and complex care, delegates tasks appropriately, and develops long-term care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments using established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Assess educational needs and provide relevant education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
