Role Overview: An Inpatient Registered Nurse in the PACU provides comprehensive patient care, including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and evaluate intervention effectiveness. The nurse ensures safety, participates in quality and safety initiatives, and contributes to unit goals and evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and address patients’ physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Coordinate and deliver care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostics.
- Collaborate with physicians and team members to meet patient needs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in decision-making for evidence-based practices.
- Engage in quality and safety education and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Strong collaboration, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with some weekend and holiday shifts.
