Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN)
Provide safe, compassionate perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical setting. Coordinate pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing activities while working as circulator and/or scrub nurse across multiple surgical specialties.
Key Duties
- Assess patients and prepare them for surgical procedures
- Circulate and/or scrub, ensuring correct setup and readiness
- Manage instrumentation and maintain a sterile field throughout surgery
- Monitor patients vigilantly during procedures and respond to changes
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams
- Serve as a strong patient advocate and deliver patient-centered care
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse licensure with perioperative/OR experience or readiness to support OR functions
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Thorough knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and perioperative protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with surgical care partners
