Registered Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery – Full-Time – Days

Role Overview:
Provides clinical leadership and direction in an acute inpatient setting, focusing on patient/family-centered care. Utilizes evidence-based practices across the nursing process, ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effective care. Develops and updates individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Performs direct patient care, delegates tasks appropriately, and monitors care quality. Ensures safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and documentation standards are met. Engages in continuous quality improvement, patient education, and professional development. Serves as a patient advocate and collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred
  • Minimum one year of RN experience or equivalent through residency or LPN experience (for internal candidates)
  • Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or in the practicing state
  • Knowledge of safety, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess patient needs, develop and modify care plans, and coordinate discharge planning
    • Provide direct patient care within scope of practice
    • Delegate tasks, monitor care quality, and ensure safety
    • Document accurately and maintain compliance with policies and regulations
    • Participate in quality improvement and patient education initiatives
    • Maintain professional development and licensure requirements
