Summary:
This role provides intra-operative assistance to the surgical team, collaborating with surgeons and healthcare professionals to perform advanced nursing care during surgeries. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, intra-operative technical support such as handling instruments, tissue management, and suturing, and post-operative patient evaluation. The role involves preparing the operating room, assisting with patient positioning, ensuring sterile techniques, and supporting anesthesia and patient transfer. Candidates must have at least two years of peri-operative experience or one year as an RNFA, along with certification from an AORN-recognized RNFA program, a valid RN license, Nurse Operating Room certification, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include CRNFA certification, ACLS, and additional years of RNFA practice.
