Role: Provides safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care in a Level III NICU setting, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities: Evaluates care effectiveness, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and upholds organizational standards. Supports family-centered care in a 24/7 neonatal unit offering advanced therapies for infants as early as 26 weeks gestation. May float to other Women’s and Children’s units to expand clinical experience.
Qualifications: Current RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and BLS certification required. Additional certifications such as NRP, ACLS, or specialty certifications are preferred or required based on the unit. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing, walking, and physical movements is necessary.
Skills: Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety standards. Ability to perform detailed neonatal interventions and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
