Registered Nurse – Neuro – Days

Role Summary: The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care during a patient’s hospital stay by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care activities. They coordinate with healthcare team members, document findings, administer medications, and educate patients and families about discharge and treatment plans. The nurse ensures patient safety, manages pain and special considerations like restraints, and responds to changes in patient condition. They adhere to safety, infection control, and quality standards while fostering a respectful, compassionate environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and reassessments, documenting findings accurately.
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate individualized care plans based on assessment data and standards of care.
  • Administer medications, monitor IV fluids, and collaborate on patient care activities.
  • Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and culturally sensitive care.
  • Recognize and respond to patient condition changes, manage pain, and implement specialized care such as restraints and abuse assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and performance improvement practices.
  • Communicate effectively, demonstrate professionalism, and foster teamwork and respect among colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Licensed to practice as an RN in the applicable state(s).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and adapt to changing work demands.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.

Key Duties: Conduct assessments, develop and modify care plans, administer treatments, monitor patient responses, provide education, ensure safety and infection control, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
