Role: The Staff Nurse provides highly professional, technical, and patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver quality care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure age-appropriate care. Maintain clear, accurate communication with patients, families, and colleagues. Create a safe, therapeutic environment, ensuring timely medication and IV administration. Supervise and direct team members, promote professional growth, and improve patient experience. Adhere to hospital standards, policies, and confidentiality requirements. Engage in ongoing professional development and performance accountability. Support the hospital’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Current nursing license in Texas. Basic Life Support certification; additional certifications as needed. Minimum of 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency. Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and care standards. Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills. Ability to handle confidential information and work safely in a clinical setting. Key Duties: Provide direct and indirect patient care. Support patient education and family communication. Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards. Contribute to a collaborative, efficient work environment. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and professional development.
