PRN Mother-Baby RN provides comprehensive postpartum care for mothers and newborns.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform postpartum and newborn assessments and monitor vital signs
- Administer medications as ordered
- Support breastfeeding and provide guidance on newborn care
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans
- Educate families on postpartum recovery, infant safety, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered nurse with Mother-Baby/postpartum experience
- Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Ability to administer medications safely and accurately
- Excellent communication skills for patient/family education
- Collaborative mindset and sound clinical judgment
- Proficiency with EMR documentation
