Role Overview: This position is for an experienced Med Surg RN supporting a multi-campus care team in a high-impact environment. The RN will deliver personalized, evidence-based care, foster meaningful patient and family connections, and drive clinical outcomes using current best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, ensuring quality care.
- Build strong relationships with patients and families, respecting their values and goals.
- Contribute to team collaboration, safety, and a positive working environment.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives.
- Lead evidence-based practice implementation and support continuous improvement through data and research.
- Plan care proactively, optimize resource use, and help develop protocols to enhance patient experience and reduce readmissions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- RN license (single or multi-state), BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg experience and experience with computer data entry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic tech tools; familiarity with Epic and 3M systems is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage clinical emergencies effectively.
