Registered Nurse Manager (RN) – Burn ICU

Role Overview:
The Nurse Manager provides leadership and management of a specific clinical unit(s), ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and staff retention. They oversee clinical, financial, human, and material resources, promoting a culture of safety and excellence through effective communication, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with staff, physicians, and departments. The role involves fostering professional development, implementing evidence-based practices, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Nurse Manager acts as a chief retention and safety officer, creating a positive work environment that supports organizational goals and service excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Engages staff in shared decision-making and promotes relationship-based, patient-centered care.
  • Manages talent, resources, and finances to optimize unit performance and reduce waste.
  • Facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration, sets performance standards, and resolves conflicts.
  • Supports staff competency, professional growth, and adherence to ethical and compliance standards.
  • Promotes evidence-based practice, research, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Uses data effectively to guide clinical and operational decisions while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Master’s preferred.
  • Current RN license in Georgia with multi-state compact preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in nursing management.
  • Certifications: BLS from AHA or ARC required at hire.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, relationship-building, and knowledge of healthcare environment.
