Registered Nurse – ICU Cardiology

Role Overview:
The registered nurse independently provides routine and complex patient care in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of various aspects of each situation. They develop long-term care plans, manage contingencies, and delegate tasks to care team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Address patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with their level of practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
  • Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
  • Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and available resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty; new graduates considered.
  • Current RN license in the state or a compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification required within specified timeframes.
  • Completion of organizational onboarding and annual competency validations.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in critical care or similar settings is preferred.
  • Must attend orientation within 30 days of hire and complete department-specific competencies.
  • Certifications such as PALS, TNCC, NRP, and others within designated grace periods.

Work Details:
The position is full-time, with shifts from 7AM to 7PM.
