This role is for a registered nurse responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessment: Conduct holistic evaluations of patients’ physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs, recognizing abnormal data and safety risks.
- Diagnosis and Planning: Identify patient problems, develop and communicate individualized care plans with measurable goals, and coordinate discharge planning.
- Implementation: Deliver evidence-based care, delegate tasks, educate patients and families, respond to emergencies, and ensure safety protocols to prevent contamination.
- Evaluation: Monitor and adjust care plans based on patient outcomes, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
- Documentation: Accurately record all care activities and patient responses in electronic medical records.
- Leadership & Professional Development: Demonstrate leadership by motivating, mentoring, participating in quality improvement, and pursuing ongoing professional growth and certifications.
Qualifications include:
- Current Ohio RN licensure and BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months for specific units.
- Education: All hires after January 2010 must obtain a BSN within five years; prior experience allows voluntary pursuit. MSN or DNP preferred but not required.
- Skills: Ability to provide culturally sensitive care, communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to change.
- Participation in professional organizations, continuing education, and area-specific certifications is encouraged.
