Role Overview: A registered nurse providing independent, comprehensive patient care within a clinical setting, demonstrating clinical expertise and managing contingencies effectively.
Responsibilities include:
- Utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients
- Addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administering medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for side-effects and efficacy
- Documenting patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assessing learning needs and educating patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources
- Delegating tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
- Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Completion of orientation, competency validation, and ongoing annual certifications
Additional Details: The role requires participation in onboarding programs, competency assessments, and certification renewals within specified grace periods. The position is full-time, with work hours from 11AM to 11PM.
