Role Overview: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, working evening shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. The role involves providing professional nursing care, assessing patient conditions, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, and documenting observations in accordance with state laws and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ critical thinking to monitor and respond to patient needs.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to team members and collaborate to achieve unit goals.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards and hospital protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if only an Associate Degree.
- At least 1+ years of emergency department experience.
- Current Illinois RN licensure, CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (certifications needed within specific timeframes).
