Role Overview: Provides direct inpatient nursing care in a fast-paced, Level 2 trauma center with a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and behavioral health cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to standards and policies.
- Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Coordinate and educate patients and families, including discharge planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs and optimize care.
- Delegate tasks appropriately, supervise team members, and promote teamwork.
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice activities.
- Respond to changing patient conditions and troubleshoot equipment issues.
