Staff RN – Open Heart Recovery
Provide high-acuity post-operative nursing care for cardiac surgery patients in a specialized recovery unit. Deliver expert monitoring and rapid clinical intervention, including continuous hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator support, and management of vasoactive infusions. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
Support patients and families through complex recoveries while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and evidence-based practice. Contribute to unit and organizational quality and safety initiatives and help uphold an inclusive, supportive care environment.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure
- Experience with high-acuity post-operative cardiac care
- Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring
- Competence managing ventilators and vasoactive drips
- Ability to assess, prioritize, and respond rapidly to clinical deterioration
- Excellent teamwork and patient/family-centered communication
