Role Overview: The Cardiac Cath RN provides primary nursing support in a specialized cardiac catheterization setting, working closely with fellowship-trained interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists.
Key Responsibilities: Triage patient calls, obtain medical histories, assist with procedures, collect lab specimens, administer medications, monitor diagnostic equipment, and ensure proper room setup. Educates patients on their conditions and treatments, and supports day-to-day clinic activities.
Qualifications & Skills: Nursing degree with specialty training; telemetry, ED, or ICU experience preferred but not required. Must have strong teamwork, communication, and procedural skills.
Additional Details: This union position involves a typical 8-hour shift, with on-call duties for Level 1 Heart Attack Program, including response times of 30 minutes for acute care.
