Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath

Role Overview: The Cardiac Cath RN provides primary nursing support in a specialized cardiac clinic, working closely with interventional Cardiologists and Electrophysiologists to assist in diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities: Triage patient calls, collect medical histories, prepare patients for examinations, assist with procedures, manage laboratory specimens, and communicate ongoing patient information. They also administer medications, insert and monitor IVs, operate diagnostic equipment, and ensure proper sterilization and room setup. Patient education on medication and treatments is essential, alongside supporting daily clinic activities.

Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing is required. Experience with telemetry, ED, or ICU is preferred but not mandatory. The role demands teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly during on-call situations, especially for acute heart attack care with a response time of less than 30 minutes.

Additional Information: The position involves an 8-hour shift, with on-call duties rotating 1-2 nights per week and every third weekend. The environment emphasizes safety, innovation, and collaborative care, fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace.
