Job Summary
Seeking a Cardiac Cath RN to provide primary nursing support in the Cardiac Cath area, working alongside fellowship-trained Cardiologists and Electrophysiologists. The role involves assisting with diagnosis and treatment, patient education, and promoting adherence to care plans. This union position offers a $15,000 recruitment incentive paid over two years, with responsibilities including triaging patient calls, documenting medical history, preparing patients for procedures, assisting providers, collecting specimens, administering medications, monitoring diagnostic equipment, and ensuring asepsis. The RN will also educate patients on treatments, support day-to-day clinic activities, and participate in on-call duties for the Level 1 Heart Attack Program, with a response time of 30 minutes for acute care. Preferred experience includes telemetry, ED, or ICU, but is not mandatory. Candidates must graduate from a specialty nursing training program and demonstrate teamwork, communication, and technical skills. The work environment is primarily clinical, emphasizing safety, excellence, and patient-centered care.
