Role Overview: The inpatient Registered Nurse provides compassionate, patient-centered care on a Medical-Surgical Remote Telemetry unit. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, administering treatments and medications, evaluating intervention effectiveness, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs. The RN promotes safety, maximizes patient satisfaction, and participates in quality and safety initiatives.
Key Duties:
- Perform assessments and address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Coordinate care, patient education, and discharge planning.
- Deliver direct care including treatments, medications, and diagnostics.
- Evaluate and revise care plans based on patient responses.
- Collaborate proactively with physicians and staff to resolve patient issues.
- Participate in unit decision-making and evidence-based practice activities.
- Engage in quality and safety education and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from an accredited nursing program, with the ability to provide comprehensive patient care. Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking skills are essential. Experience in a Medical-Surgical or telemetry setting is preferred.
