Role Overview: This is a full-time Inpatient RN position on a 30-bed advanced acute care medical unit, providing care primarily for medical patients with backup for trauma, neuro, and surgical cases. The RN assesses, plans, and delivers comprehensive nursing care, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, formulating care plans, administering treatments and medications, evaluating intervention effectiveness, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes compassionate patient interactions, safety, and quality improvement initiatives. The RN participates in unit decision-making, troubleshooting equipment, and promoting evidence-based practices, ensuring optimal patient and family experiences.
- Completes assessments within scope of practice and standards
- Provides education and discharge planning with the healthcare team
- Delivers direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostics
- Evaluates and revises care plans based on patient responses
- Collaborates proactively with physicians and staff to meet patient needs
- Troubleshoots equipment and participates in quality and safety programs
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing (required). Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability. Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
