Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical setting. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers, utilizing evidence-based standards aligned with the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and the Code of Ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exemplary Practice: Conducts the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—focusing on patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural needs.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Ensures safe, timely documentation, promotes respectful communication, and participates in performance improvement and shared governance activities.
- Professional Development: Completes ongoing competency assessments, mentors colleagues, and supports a healthy work environment.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Advocates for research, participates in quality initiatives, and ensures compliance with policies and standards, including regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Resource Management: Plans patient care across the continuum, develops protocols, and optimizes resource use to improve outcomes and reduce adverse events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years RN experience in direct patient care.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in technology and clinical documentation, with the ability to act decisively in fast-paced environments.
