Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) specializes in acute care orthopaedic surgical units, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice.
- Deliver individualized, relationship-based care tailored to diverse patient populations, respecting cultural differences.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
- Coordinate safe, efficient care delivery, ensuring thorough documentation and collaboration across disciplines.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and promote evidence-based practices.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor, fostering a competent and professional nursing workforce.
- Adhere to organizational policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines to ensure quality and safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
- Valid RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in clinical technology, critical thinking, and time management.
- Ability to respond effectively in fast-paced, emergency situations.
