Registered Nurse – Acute Care Orthopedic Surgical – Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) specializes in acute care orthopaedic surgical units, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice.
  • Deliver individualized, relationship-based care tailored to diverse patient populations, respecting cultural differences.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
  • Coordinate safe, efficient care delivery, ensuring thorough documentation and collaboration across disciplines.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and promote evidence-based practices.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor, fostering a competent and professional nursing workforce.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Valid RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in clinical technology, critical thinking, and time management.
  • Ability to respond effectively in fast-paced, emergency situations.

Additional Duties: Supports resource management, participates in protocol development, and complies with policies and standards to promote optimal patient outcomes.
