Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care – Ortho Surgical, specializing in patient-centered, safe, and high-quality care on a full-time night shift.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on evidence-based practices.
- Provide relationship-based, culturally sensitive patient care tailored to individual needs.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education, ensuring patient goals guide care plans.
- Coordinate safe care delivery within an interdisciplinary team, maintaining thorough documentation and promoting a respectful clinical environment.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance to enhance care quality and safety.
- Support professional development by completing required education and mentoring peers and students.
- Engage in evidence-based practice, data collection, and protocol development to improve clinical outcomes.
- Utilize resources efficiently and contribute to protocols aimed at reducing re-admissions and adverse events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with current certification in BLS.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond decisively to emergencies.
- Proficient in clinical technology and documentation systems.
