Registered Nurse – Acute Care Ortho Surgical – Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care Ortho Surgical provides high-quality, individualized patient care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. They practice according to professional standards, evidence-based guidelines, and organizational policies, ensuring safe and effective care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
  • Deliver patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, respecting cultural differences, and involving patients and families in care planning.
  • Coordinate safe care delivery through effective communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and promote evidence-based practice.
  • Mentor and serve as a preceptor for new staff and students, fostering a healthy, professional work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and organizational standards, including accreditation requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Associate or diploma nursing education; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in technology, critical thinking, and time management in a fast-paced environment.
