Registered Nurse – Acute Care (Medical-Surgical Unit)

The registered nurse in Department 7A works day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, providing safe, therapeutic, and compassionate patient care. They utilize the nursing process, demonstrate clinical competence and critical thinking, and adhere to organizational policies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications include being a new RN graduate or in good standing with an active Arkansas license; BSN preferred.

Responsible for applying basic nursing skills to meet care standards and collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

CPR certification is required; ACLS, PALS, or NALS training may be necessary depending on the unit.

Specialty units offer specific education; the role is authorized for 72 hours bi-weekly.

The RN is not participating in the Clinical Nurse Advancement Program but is expected to understand and follow department and organizational policies to contribute to a positive patient experience.
