Registered Nurse – Acute Care Cardiovascular Stroke Unit

Role: Inpatient Registered Nurse responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans aligned with unit standards.
  • Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Provide direct care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Evaluate and adjust nursing interventions based on patient responses.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice.
  • Engage in decision-making and contribute to unit and organizational goals.
  • Support patient education, discharge planning, and promote positive patient experiences.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with policies, including acquiring required certifications like ACLS.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of a nursing specialty program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to perform assessments, coordinate care, and communicate effectively.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compassionate patient interactions.
  • Certifications such as ACLS are required for specific units.
  • Experience in cardiac care, stroke education, and use of cardiac drips is advantageous.
  • Key Duties: Completing assessments, formulating care plans, administering treatments, collaborating with team members, and participating in safety and quality initiatives. The role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care in a supportive, safety-focused environment.
