Role Overview:
The RN – Acute Care – Cardiac Telemetry is an active member of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to nursing scope, ethics, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and individualized care strategies.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education, respecting cultural diversity.
- Ensure accurate documentation and coordinate care delivery within a collaborative team environment.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, participate in research, and promote evidence-based practice.
- Mentor and serve as a preceptor for other nursing staff to foster professional growth.
- Develop protocols and participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with licensure, certification, and ongoing competency requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
- Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Proficiency in clinical technology and basic computer skills.
