Provide comprehensive, hands-on care to patients with diverse medical and surgical needs in a team-oriented environment. Deliver evidence-based nursing care, develop and update patient care plans, and perform assessments and specialized procedures. Respond to patient status changes, coordinate with physicians, supervise support staff, and support safety and quality initiatives. Requires active RN license in Alaska, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within 6 months. Prefer 1+ year of acute care experience or willingness to train. Strong communication, critical thinking, and ability to handle emergency situations are essential. Must lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physical activities. Work in a close-knit, team-based setting with opportunities to float between units. Exposure to infectious materials necessitates strict safety protocols. This per diem position offers a $47.53/hour pay rate plus a 15% premium, but no benefits. Located in Homer, Alaska, known for outdoor recreation, friendly community, and quality of life.
