Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care to patients in specified clinical areas.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited nursing program, and an associate’s degree in nursing.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing.
Experience of at least two years in nursing is preferred.
Required certifications include a valid RN license in Texas, BLS, ACLS (within 1 year), PALS or ENPC (within 1 year), NIH Stroke Scale (within 1 year), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (within 2 years).
Specialized certifications for ICU/Tower ICU include RN licensure and relevant trauma and pediatric life support certifications.
