Registered Dietitian – Family Practice Residency

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition screening, assessment, monitoring, and education to patients through an integrated care approach.

They deliver individualized nutrition counseling, support weight management programs, and collaborate with healthcare providers to develop tailored nutrition plans.

Key duties include performing nutrition-focused physical exams, managing nutrition support therapies like TPN and enteral nutrition, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as JCAHO and IDPH.

They also educate patients, families, staff, and community groups, participate in training dietetic students and interns, and contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualified candidates need a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related field, licensure as a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, registration as a Registered Dietitian, and at least one year of healthcare experience.

Skills required include strong communication, basic computer proficiency, and professionalism.
