Radiology Technologist – PRN

Role Overview:

This PRN Radiology Technologist performs general imaging procedures for adult and pediatric patients to aid in diagnosis and treatment. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, conducting radiographic examinations independently, including portable and emergency room assessments, and occasionally working in the Operating Room (OR). Responsibilities include ensuring high-quality imaging, providing patient instructions with professionalism, and working with advanced equipment such as Siemens, Samsung, and Carestream systems. The position requires working evening and overnight shifts, including in-house and ER settings, with tasks assigned by the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree or higher in radiologic technology or related field
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and ARRT registration
  • Licenses: applicable state-specific radiology licenses (e.g., IEMA for Illinois)
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience, CPR certification
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple imaging tasks efficiently

Key Duties:

  • Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures
  • Perform diagnostic radiography independently in various settings, including ER and OR
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety, providing clear instructions
  • Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment effectively
