Role Overview:
This position involves performing general radiographic procedures and CT imaging for adult and pediatric patients to assist in diagnosis and treatment. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, ensuring high-quality images while delivering excellent customer service. The role includes performing X-ray and CT scans independently, with cross-training opportunities for R.T.(R) registered professionals. Must obtain CT registration within six months if not registered at hire.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions with professionalism.
- Perform radiographic and CT imaging examinations efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or trade school certification in radiologic technology.
- Radiology Technologist registration required; CT registration preferred.
- Basic life support certification (CPR) is advantageous.
- Experience is preferred but not mandatory; cross-training available for registered R.T.(R) professionals.
Additional Requirements:
- Illinois IEMA certification if applicable.
- Ability to perform procedures independently, with strong attention to detail and customer service.
