Radiology Technologist MRI – Nights

Role: MRI Technologist responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, ensure patient identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety.
  • Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data storage and transfer.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risk.
  • Assist with interventional procedures, select pulse sequences, and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and uphold departmental and organizational priorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certifications: ARRT and MR, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR, or NMTCB and ARMRIT.
  • Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Specialty Training Program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of MRI safety, technical imaging protocols, patient care, and data evaluation.
