Role Overview: This PRN Radiology Technologist position involves performing general diagnostic radiographic procedures independently for adult and pediatric patients, including in-house, OR, ER, and portable exams. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, provides high-quality customer service, and operates Siemens, Samsung, and Carestream imaging equipment. Tasks may include occasional procedures in the operating room and emergency room, with a focus on delivering accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures, ensuring clear communication and professionalism.
- Conduct radiographic examinations independently, including portable and on-call situations.
- Assist with procedures in the operating and emergency rooms as needed.
- Perform portable exams and other departmental tasks, working autonomously in high-pressure settings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and ARRT registration.
- Preferred experience of 2+ years; valid licenses such as IEMA (excluding MRI) are required.
- CPR certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate professionalism, and provide excellent patient care.
