Radiology Technologist

Role Overview:

The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging procedures to support diagnosis and treatment for adult and pediatric patients. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, explaining procedures with professionalism, and independently conducting radiographic examinations, including portable and on-call tasks. The role requires certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and an associate degree or trade school equivalency. Experience in vascular interventional procedures, neurovascular, MR, CT, or general radiology is preferred, along with specific licenses and certifications such as IEMA and ARRT. Basic CPR certification is also advantageous.

Key Duties:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and clear communication
  • Operate imaging equipment and assist in on-call or portable exams
  • Maintain professionalism and customer service standards

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational requirement: Associate degree or trade school equivalency
  • Certification: Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R))
  • Experience: Entry level to 2 years in radiology or related fields preferred
  • Licenses: IEMA (excluding MRI), ARRT registration
  • Additional: CPR certification preferred
