We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to perform simulations and deliver radiation treatments under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.
Key responsibilities include:
Interpreting treatment plans and administering accurate radiation therapy treatments. Preparing treatment rooms, acquiring images for precise patient positioning, and fabricating immobilization devices. Monitoring patients during treatment, providing education, and documenting treatment and billing information. Executing quality assurance procedures, maintaining safety standards, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Supporting training of students and participating in departmental duties and emergency call coverage. Qualifications:
Associate degree required; ARRT (T) certification or eligibility, with certification within one year. Prior experience in radiation oncology preferred but not required. Knowledge of radiation procedures and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and exercise clinical judgment. Licensing requirements vary by location, including state-specific radiation licenses. This role is non-supervisory, with responsibilities focused on patient care, treatment delivery, safety, and departmental support in a healthcare environment committed to compassionate service.
