Role: Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for delivering ionizing radiation treatments to diverse patients following physician prescriptions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate radiation equipment ensuring safety and precision in treatment delivery.
- Perform patient assessments, simulate treatments, and manage patient setup with accuracy.
- Follow protocols for quality control, safety measures, and documentation in EMR.
- Educate patients and families about treatment processes and side effects.
- Report adverse reactions and equipment issues promptly.
- Participate in on-call rotations, assist with tasks, and serve as a clinical instructor for students.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree from an accredited program.
- Certifications: ARRT-T (Radiation Therapy), BLS or ARC-BLS.
- Minimum two years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
- Ability to treat and simulate patients accurately.
- Adherence to safety protocols and ability to work collaboratively.
