Psychiatrist (Homeless Services)

The Attending Psychiatrist for Homeless Services provides outreach-based psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and coordination for individuals experiencing homelessness with serious mental illness.

They work across shelters, Safe Havens, on the streets, and community settings to engage clients, facilitate access to care, and ensure continuity of services.

The role includes conducting community assessments, supporting treatment planning, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.

Supervision of psychiatric residents and involvement in program development and interagency collaboration are key components.

Qualifications include a valid medical license, board eligibility in Psychiatry, experience with homeless populations, and necessary certifications.

The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule, a salary of $229,528–$235,000 annually, and potential academic appointments. Parking is provided at no cost, and the role emphasizes trauma-informed, engagement-focused care for vulnerable populations.
