Role Overview: The Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit provides high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with acute respiratory and pulmonary conditions, including post-transplant and ventilator-dependent cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
- Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and communicate individualized care plans, considering patient preferences and needs.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Maintain safety and alertness as this is a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
- RN license required; no prior experience necessary, but less than 2 years preferred for higher qualification.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
