Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit RN (Full-Time) (Nights)

Role Overview:

This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a specialized pulmonary progressive care unit, focusing on patients with acute respiratory conditions such as lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator support. The RN will collaborate with physicians, advanced practice nurses, and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, assess physical and psychosocial needs, and educate patients and families for post-discharge management.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management, medication, and home care needs.
  • Participate in safety, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
  • Develop and communicate care plans aligned with standards and standards of nursing care.
  • Evaluate physical, emotional, and cultural needs, ensuring comprehensive care.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Valid RN license; no prior experience required, but 2+ years of experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work safely, demonstrate critical thinking, and collaborate effectively.
