Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit RN (Full-Time, Night Shift)

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care within a specialized pulmonary progressive care unit, managing patients with acute respiratory and medical conditions such as lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, ventilator weaning, and medication drips. Collaborates closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with nursing standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Engages in ongoing professional development.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, communicating effectively across care teams and the patient’s support system.
  • Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
  • Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
