Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit
Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to acutely ill adults who require close monitoring and advanced interventions. Monitor patients using telemetry, administer medications and IV therapies, and respond promptly to changes in clinical status.
Coordinate with a multidisciplinary care team to support care planning, ensure safe and effective treatment, and maintain thorough EMR documentation. Educate patients and families, reinforce care goals, and contribute to ongoing improvement of patient outcomes.
Key duties
- Deliver advanced nursing interventions for patients requiring progressive-level care
- Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and identify relevant changes
- Administer IV medications/fluids and manage IV therapy
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other team members
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
- Educate patients and families and support care planning
Qualifications & skills
- Active RN licensure
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Telemetry proficiency and ability to act on patient status changes
- Safe medication and IV administration skills
- Excellent communication and patient/family education ability
- Detail-oriented EMR documentation
